Hello, I’m Phoenix—a dedicated yoga teacher who is honored to help guide you on your yoga journey.
My own journey started many years ago, when my mom gave me yoga DVDs in high school, which was a game changer for my awkward self. I found strength and grace that I had never known, and yoga rooted into my life. Fast forward to many hours spent practicing in various yoga studios, practicing yoga on my own, and ultimately studying yoga for many years prior to even considering teaching it. Yoga and meditation practices have helped me through immense grief, after losses of important people in my life, and the study of yogic philosophy has enriched my life deeply.
Yoga has transformed my life in ways I could never have imagined. Through the 8 limbs of yoga, I've found not just physical flexibility and strength, but a deep sense of peace, compassion, and self-awareness. These travel with me beyond the mat and into everyday life—and that’s exactly what I hope to share with you.
I became a Yoga Alliance Registered 200-Hour RYT, and I’m continuously deepening my understanding and skills as a teacher. This year, I’ve completed over 50 hours of continuing education to ensure I’m providing the best guidance I can for my students. I currently teach 6-8 classes a week locally in Tennessee, north of Nashville, and have taught online classes as well. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative Yoga classes every week, and am most honored to do so.
My approach is rooted in the belief that yoga is truly for everyone, every body, and every beating heart. Each yoga practice is a very personal journey. I’m here to help you explore and expand your practice.
